What you need to complete your journey . . .

🎓 60 Hours Required

Complete 48 CORE hours plus 12 additional approved hours.


🏫 Classroom Learning

All CORE courses must be completed in person.


💻 Online Options

Approved Elective courses may be completed online.


📅 Five-Year Completion Window

Finish your designation within five years of starting the program.

The Montana GRI program follows the National Association of REALTORS® curriculum standards.

GRI-Approved Courses Across Montana

The Montana Association of REALTORS® partners with local REALTOR® associations throughout the state to offer GRI-approved education.

Courses are designated as:

  • CORE Courses (must be attended in person)
  • Elective Courses (may be completed in person or online)

 

When registering for a class, refer to the Local Association GRI Approved Course List to determine whether the course is approved as CORE or Elective.

Members are responsible for tracking their own coursework.

Use the GRI Curriculum Tracking Form to:

  • Monitor completed coursework
  • Track CORE and Elective hours

🎯 Reach the Summit

Ready to Graduate?

Once you've completed all 60 required hours:

  1. Complete your GRI Curriculum Tracking Form.
  2. Gather your attendance certificates or supporting documentation.
  3. Submit your completed tracking form to MAR.
  4. MAR will send an electronic invoice for the $50 processing fee.
  5. Once processed, your GRI designation will be officially awarded.

2026 Graduation Deadline

Members planning to graduate during the 2026 GRI Conference must submit:

  • Completed GRI Tracking Form
  • Supporting attendance documentation
  • $50 processing fee

Who should pursue GRI?

GRI is designed for REALTORS® at every stage of their career who want to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and demonstrate a commitment to professionalism.

 

How long do I have to complete the program?

Members have five years from the time they begin the program.

 

Can I take courses online?

Yes. Approved Elective courses may be completed online. All CORE coursework must be completed in person.

 

What if I started before 2026?

Members who began the program before 2026 have until 2031 to complete their designation. Check in with education@montanarealtors.org and they will help you map out your path to completion.
