MAR Committees
MAR Committees do important work for the association.
MAR has 8 standing committees and 6 subcommittees.
Below is a brief description of each Standing Committee's purpose
ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
To oversee responsibilities and resources necessary to allow the Association to provide programs, products, services and activities to the members and boards. The purpose of this group includes planning, training of staff and leadership, administrative functions and internal operations. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the mission and assignedMAR strategic plan goals and objectives.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
To oversee MAR's internal and external communication programming, including publications, media outreach and publicrelations. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the associations mission and assigned MAR strategic plan goals and objectives.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, and INCLUSION COMMITTEE
Work in collaboration with the National Association of REALTORS®, Montana Association of Realtors®, local Realtor® association,and other community organizations through education, sponsorship, and communication endeavors, to enhance awareness ofdiversity and inclusion ensuring opportunities for all.
FINANCE AND AUDIT
To oversee the association’s budget and investments, including receiving and independently reviewing the annual financial review or audit as applicable.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
To assist local boards and members through collective action to promote and preserve private property rights and to pursue other interests of the real estate industry. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the mission and assigned MAR strategic plan goals and objectives.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
To provide tools for members to be the best prepared and to perform to the highest standards. Research members' needs, provide relevant and effective programs, and publicize resources and programs available. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the mission and assigned MAR strategic plan goals and objectives.
RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
To assist members by providing programs and activities to prepare them to effectively and profitably conduct business in aproductive, ethical and professional manner. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the mission and assigned MAR strategic plan goals and objectives.
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK (YPN) COMMITTEE
To assist REALTOR® members advance their careers by giving them tools and encouragement to build a stronger link with the real estate industry. To coordinate activities necessary to accomplish the mission and assigned MAR strategic plan goals and objectives.

FORMS SUBCOMMITTEE
Modify and update Real Estate transaction forms. Subcommittee of Risk Management Committee
GRADUATE, REALTOR® INSTITUTE
The GRI Subcommittee is actively involved in several aspects of the annual GRI Conference. Members must have their GRI designation to be on this subcommittee.Subcommittee members will attend the curriculum review planning meeting and make suggestions and decisions on the instructors, course topics, program format, social events, theme selection, policies and procedures, registration fees, and helping to create the sponsorship packet along with pricing and solicitation of sponsors. GRI Subcommittee members also have first opportunity to serve as a Dean during the GRI Conference. Subcommittee of Professional Development.
ISSUES MOBILIZATION FUND (IMF)
The Montana Association of REALTORS® Issues Mobilization Fund is established to provide the resources necessary to successfully defend the real estate profession from policies detrimental to real estate interests. Appropriate expenditures include ballot measure campaigns, grassroots lobbying activities, contributions to or with other lobbying organizations with respect to a common issue, issue advocacy, and data collection to assist with the development of strategies. LEGAL ACTION FUND SUBCOMMITTEE
The purpose of the MAR Legal Action Fund is to provide financial resources and other funding support to parties, including but not limited to local boards or associations of REALTORS® and MAR members in the State of Montana, engaged in litigation, actual or proposed, which may result in the determination of relevant legal issues in a manner that may have important precedential significance to private property owners, real estate licensees, real estate boards or associations, or the real estate industry generally. The Legal Action Fund is overseen by the Legal Action Committee (LAC), which answers to the MAR Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. Subcommittee of Government Affairs Committee
PROPERTY MANAGER SUBCOMMITTEE

REALTOR® POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (RPAC)
The Montana RPAC shall be organized and operated exclusively for the purpose of supporting the nomination or election of one or more individuals who are candidates for nomination or election to any state or local elective public office, as well as non-monetary support to candidates for federal office and to collect and make expenditures of political contributions as that term is defined in Section 41(C)(1)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code for the purpose of furthering candidacy of such individuals for nomination or election to such offices, and to do any and all things necessary to accomplish such purposes, in accordance with the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, and Montana Campaign Finance Laws.
